am writing to tell you about Christian Aid’s new cycle event! The Strangford Sportive boasts three different routes around some of County Down’s beautiful scenery. The 50- and 25-mile routes both set off from Delamont Country Park, Killyleagh, around marshalled roads around the area’s picturesque drumlins. The 2.5-mile route, ideal for families to enjoy together, explores the park.
Whichever route you cycle, you’ll be welcomed back to base with a FREE Good Little BBQ provided by the Good Little Company. Podium 4 Sport will be there with a support vehicle to help in the case of any problems.
Will you, and your cycle club, join us for the Strangford Sportive on Saturday 5 October at Delamont Country Park, Killyleagh to say ‘on your bike’ to poverty?
Through the event we will raise vital funds for our development work in 47 of the world’s poorest countries, by asking for a minimum donation to participate in the cycle, of £20 per adult, £5 per child. This donation will help Christian Aid to tackle the root causes of poverty as well as its symptoms, helping local communities to help themselves out of poverty. We work with people of all faiths and none.
For more information, and to register, visit the Strangford Sportive page. Alternatively you could telephone 028 9064 8133 or email eventsireland@christian-aid.org.
I would be so grateful if you would share this information by forwarding this email to your club members, and posting the event on your club website. Please contact me if you would like flyers or posters to display.
Yours faithfully
Helen
