Looking pretty windy on Sunday but may get away without rain. Need to keep away from Newcastle so maybe a simpler route out to Daft Eddys or Castle Espie with a slower and a faster group. Its been some time since we all gathered together for coffee on a normal Sunday. Looking ahead, the Greysteel run is on Saturday 27th June. I have planned a route out to Antrim which avoids the towns and busy roads of the original route which I have driven around with Olly. Will try and cycle it mid week. I am not going to do the full route but it might be a nice idea if others not planning to do the full route came out with me and back again from Antrim to give support to those doing the full commemorative ride. I will in any case need at least two volunteers to come back in support with me. About 65 to 70 miles round trip, fairly flat and some pleasant roads we have never done before, going at a steady pace. Could do it as an alternative to normal Sunday run or as well as. Would be grateful if you would let me know if you are interested in that.

20+ out on a blustery showery day. Split into two groups and off to castle Espie. All met together at cafe after a bit of confusion of whether we were meeting at CE or Daft eddies. Wee Joe a bit upset about being left behind ( He wasn't but not talking to me at present) Well done to prospective new members Trevor and Emma McCracken who stormed home at a brisk pace. Enjoyable day with plenty of craic. 40 miles and 3100 feet on my Garmin
