Plan was for Aidan to lead us along the course he took us on last year on road parallel to Head Road then Kilkeel Attical and up Granite Run but unfortunately he has fractured his wrist so that's postponed for about a month. Do have a new route which I tested with Michael today, which goes along country lanes and eventually out to Temple Golf Club which is a new coffee stop with great views from outside balcony over the course. Then on past Boardmills and circles back through Annahilt and back past Spa to home. It is only 38 miles with some undulations and time to get home for BBQ's or end of La Tour. For those wanting more distance and challenge, you can cut across to Dromara or Drumkeeragh after Annahilt. Easy enough for a hot day or maybe instead we should be down by coast. connect.garmin.com/course/4214280

Probably a bit too hot for a new route which requires waiting at junctions in the sun. So will keep route back for another day and we can do one that everyone knows

Good turnout with 25 plus. Included 3 cyclists recruited last week by michael o's in Brennan's. Karen, Olivia and franz. They are all strong cyclists and very friendly and hopefully they will come again to Brennan's next week. On a surprisingly mizzly and wet day we went around the coast with coffee at ardglass. Split into various groups on way back. Was in my maximum zone heart rate for about half an hour so need to check my insurance policies are up to date.

As Max stated a great turn out yesterday for our run round the coast, lost count that many, could have been as many as twenty eight out but good to see, all went well, Joe had some mechnical problems but we all got round safely , a good run not a bad day,a bit of drizzle early on to keep us cool and sun for the finish,
