I will do 85 km. Driving to Dromara for just after registration at 8.30 to get away early around 9 am to avoid crowds particularly going up Cornmill. Actual start is 9.30.

Max, I have to be home early for my annual trip to the graveyard so that would suit me well. My plan was to ride to Dromara from home, start early and then ride home from Leitrim stop. Can you re beer what time we got to the tea stop at last year. I need to be in Dundrum at 1330.

Distance to Leitrim is about 40 miles. So say starting by 9 am should be at Leitrim by 12.15 comfortably. Food is self serve so could be away by 12.30. Leitrim to Dundrum is 9 miles mainly downhill so you should be back easily by 1.30 even allowing for a puncture along the way. I am aiming to be back in Dromara which is 15 miles back from Leitrim , not long after 1.30

Staggered start for Team LLRC. The Big Guns, Steve and Niall were out at crack of dawn on Sportive around 8am and do not know how they did. Dermot and Michael out at 8.30 on the 125k and Gerry, Sam and myself out at 9am on 85k. Trevor and mates out at 9.30 on 85k and Dylan on 125k. Rather wet at start which made Cornmill slippery and very cold up in the high hills. Some of us met up at Leitrim GAA where another of the Morgan clan is the boss man. Gerry headed straight back home and Sam and I made our way back to Dromara to meet up with the others. Its an interesting and tough route even at 85k level and did 56 miles and 6600 feet of climbing so goodness knows what Steve and Niall have done.

You missed me out there Max, left home at 0545 hrs, rode to Dromara and did the most of the 85 route, even met you in the Spa on the way to you start. Back home at 1030 all done with 62 miles and 6,600 ft. Cold and very wet up the hills and no fun on your own. In honestly I think my pre run routine of 12 pints of cider, a bottle of wine, a chicken curry and 4 hours sleep was not ideal. Might have a new plan before Sean Kelly in 2 weeks.

Yes I did see you coming up Spa hill at 8 am but did not realise you had been all around the route at that time of morning. Very impressive but you probably need another pint or two of cider to improve your training programme

Don't know about big guns. More pea shooters. Yes Bigfoot and I did our biannual sportive run 2009,2011 & 2013. Start about 8:10 just the pair of us keeping each other company. Great day out, wrecked at end but enjoyed it. Good to see ted at the end. Seems upbeat and still proving to be the strongest person I know Didn't see many of the club just Dermoptera and Michael. Both going strong on 125
