Was hoping Aidan might lead us round the alternative route up Spelga but unfortunately he is still in plaster. Should be ok in about a month around 15th September. Do have a new route if interested which goes through Spa village past golf club, up Riverside road and then along road past Larchfield estate. Then across country lanes back to Boardmills and Temple golf club for coffee. Then on across country lanes to Ballygowan and then back down lanes to Raffrey and home by whichever way suits. Its 42 miles Brennans to Brennans with about 3000 ft climb which is flat-ISH compared to 4 hills route !! Weather looks sort of ok for Sunday at present connect.garmin.com/course/4493133

18 at Brennans. Jagger went round coastal and Dermot just to say hello , so 16 off on ride. Down to Spa and then on a circular route, stopping at Temple for coffee. Well organised there with coffee and scones all ready for us. Across country to Ballygowan and then down to Raffery. I disappeared down a crater but fortunately only a burst tyre to show for it. Thanks Niall, Olly and Pat for helping with repair. Back home with Enthusiasts going up the Heights and Steadies including myself via Annacloy. Although doing 3000 feet climb, 16 mph average and 42 miles , it was not too demanding and only received an average amount of abuse even from Paul Ireland, so a good day out.
