Hi Folks
Had an interesting E.mail from a company called Pactimo who supply cycle clothing to clubs such as ourselves.
They have an interesting concept where they set up an online store specific to our club (our club colours) enabling any member to browse and order any peice of kit as and when they please,all year round.
This seems to be a much more flexible system compared to our current one which restricts us to one order per year effectively and a minimum of ten peices of a particular item of kit which is a real pain.
I have tried to compare prices on their site and they seem competitive although the winter jacket seems more expensive. Reading a description of the kit design/materials etc it sounds like quality kit although that remains to be seen. Personally I think our shorts are crap. Poorly made and too thin in the areas that matter
Stephen Gallagher is the local rep who contacted me. He would be willing to come to a club meeting and talk us through all of the above in detail . He would bring sample kit and answer questions.
We will soon be holding a meeting re the looming Mckibben run and I thought if there was enough interest we could ask him along on that date.
Please let me know asap if you would like this to be arranged.
