This was the first night when we actually started in the twilight, requiring lights the whole time. Both Nialls, Adrian, Barney, Gary,Coby and myself headed for a spin amongst the trees. Fast and furious with both Nialls and Barney driving the pace. We were all a bit worried by being behind bad guts Barney, but then we were confronted by numerous cowpats on the trails, so one form of crap or another we ploughed on. In good synchronised style Bigfoot at the front and Coby at the back performed elegant dismounts, with Coby the winner having performed an over the bar somersault and single wrist landing, whereas Bigfoot overcame the traction limits of his tyres on a bend and slipped both wheels from under himself, landing in a rather ungraceful heap on the grass. Nothing major from either of them, but I reckon today they might have a few bruises.
Other than that it was a great 13.5 miles, Niall McK sliding the backend a bit further than expected, but not more dismounts.
Perhaps we should go for Tollymore next week to change things about - less technical but more distance and easier to chat and be sociable ?
