Because of a late Easter and the Italians coming to town in early May the proposed date for a return trip to Mallorca is from Sunday 18th May to Friday 23rd May for 5 nights at the same hotel with the same half board package. The accomadation provided excellent bike storage facilities ,pool, and more grub than you could eat and apparently a bar but we never saw that . Costs at this time ,flights £110,hotel £195,transfer £25 and either take your own bike or hire both around £100. Will bring details to Sunday run but would be keen to gauge interest as soon as possible so if you want please drop me a text so I can keep the hotel informed as its getting busy with flights and accomadation bookings . OTQ will be 25th May next year. there will be road marking and signage to be done so 23rd return could be awkward

Because the dates for Mallorca were to close to the OTQ on the 25th May next year the new dates are 11th may to 16th May ..5 nights same half board and transfer costs as detailed above but flights are cheaper at around £90.Either take your own bike or hire is around 100 (that's presuming you are going to cycle !)Max says bike availability good for that week.

Bikes get booked quite quickly so I would strongly recommend you book asap. There are two principal hire shops in P Pollensa. www.procyclehire.com We used them last year and because we booked late we had a mixed assortment of good and bad brought in from hotel stock. This year you can book your own specific bike on line, so overall quality should be better. They have a good range of Van Nicholas titaniums, I had one last year , a great bike . Also full carbon frames , both at euros 105 for Monday am to Friday pm plus 15 euros insurance. Al/Carbon for 80 euros. You can have a triple ring for hills if desired and double ring are all 12/27 Second shop www.pollensacycling.com used in 2012 LLRC tour. They were I am told very good bikes. They have a more limited range and are a bit more expensive with Carbon/Alloy frame at euros 95 and Carbon at euros 120 plus 10 euros insurance and have a slightly higher gearing of 12/25 and no triples Both shops require full credit card payment at time of order. Please book your own choice, I will book for those who do not have internet access. I am booking with procycle as I like the Titanium triple and they are a bit cheaper but choose yourself if you prefer pollensa. Neither have offered a group discount at present but if enough book with procycle I will try again, so specify on other comments that you are with LaLanterne Rouge CC. You can also take your own bike but you will need to buy or hire a bike bag and pay surcharge on flight and on hotel transfer. Any queries ?

Pollensa at €105 does that include vat ?, because the procycle hire does not, so their €80 becomes €97 when VAT included.
like the kuota bikes on procycle, 8.2 kg is pretty light for €80

Yes Just to state again because we both got confused there. The procycling includes vat in its price at e105 for carbon frame and e80 for alloy whilst pollensa is e120 for carbon and e97 for alloy after adding vat

Gavin .
The hotel is reserved and when they send through payment details I will start chasing up the money. I will also organise the transfer to and from the airport to hotel at a later date ,last year it cost around £25 return .Again last year the hotel managed the transfer and we paid them at reception on departure . With regard to the flights we are going out on Sunday 11th May at 16 35 returning on friday 16th at 2355 (easyjet belfast int to Palma ) Check the links above to book your bike .If you are taking your own bike there is an additional cost on the transfer as well as the airline !

Just an addition on the bike hire. Thanks to Coby for the alternative shop which do look to have great bikes. but there could be logistical problems with that. They appear to be based some 45 minute drive away from us and do a delivery service between 9 am and 12 depending on their plan on the day. Last year we were all at the shop at 9 am and were on road by 10. Could happen that you miss leaving with rest or else everyone has to hang around. Also very useful with local shop to go in if any problems. Also looks like a 40 euro delivery charge. Can specify pedals but taking your own can avoid fiddling around and taking your own saddle for better comfort is a good idea, set up best done on receipt of bike.
