Robin and I have been discussing plans for Sunday. With the Speedy Boys off for a 100 mile blast, we thought it would be good to have the B team join up with the remainder and go together to the coffee stop. Probably down past Ballydugan Mill, Ballynoe, Bright and down to Ardglass for the break. After that, we would split with Robin leading the B,s back along the Tyrella coast and back to Brennans. Overall about 30 miles and much flatter and hopefully less windy than last week. I would take the rest, lets call them the Q,s . The B and Q,s has a familiar ring about it. Many people know the LeCale area far better than me but I will try and find a few obscure and less familiar lanes to follow. Probably going crosscountry past Bishops Court, Ballyculter, ballyalton, Church Ballee, Corbally and back to Brennans. Have yet to determine exact route. About 40 odd miles in total and a little flatter than normal.

With regard to the proposed big run on sunday I am weather watching at present and it looks dry with a wind speed of about 15 mph.Not too sure whos game to have a go ..I will text a few folk to see what the interest is like or stick up a post if you can make it.Had thought about heading out from Brennans at 8 sharp and maybe doing a double loop around the area so that folks are not too far from base ..which would give folk the option of knocking in as many miles they had time for. Had thought of heading annacloy crossgar killyleagh back over the quoile and round the coast to clough and either do that again or if anyone has a suggestion for the second half I am happy to have a go. I will buy myself and anybody else a pint if we finish..and no youre not allowed to take youre car just to see me buying drink..

happy enough to go with your plan as far as Clough Peter, I've a suggestion for the 2nd half & it's only a suggestion, so here goes. Clough>Dundrum>Maghera>Castlewellan>Kilcoo>Hilltown>Spelga>Head Road>Annalong>Newcastle>Dundrum>Clough>Loughinisland, I'd also suggest that LIGHTS ARE ESSENTIAL.The earlier we leave Brennans the better, I'm good to go from 7am.

I am now suffering from Ollys brilliant observation of "it was a good idea at the time" and I was getting really nervous about buying the beer so I gathered up enough courage and phoned O Tooles , great news ...they sell half pints.
Folks game so far include Olly , Niall C, Stephen (sore back permitting) Marty, ,possibly Niall Mck,and a few others who will see how there going for the second half .Happy to go for the route suggested by Olly.Early wheels down about 7.15 ..everybody welcome if they just fancy part of it and an early run out .

Ok been shamed into it. I'm up for the last century of the year, but I don't drink halves! Myself and the hill machine will be at Brenans at 0700 for a 0715 kick off. Have to be back for five and hate rushing beer. Remember you'll only regret the things you don't do. Well apart from line dancing........

Entere Peter's and Ollie's route sugestioning and then altered to make the magic number 101 miles. The more astute amoung you may notice that Ollie's section has a touch of the "lumpy" in it. connect.garmin.com/course/5087339

What is the estimated time of arrival at O'Tooles ? The B and Q,s might want a sniff of all that celebratory beer that's going to be flowing around.

Guys, due to circumstances I won't be out tomorrow. I am however seriously considering slipping into some Lycra in the afternoon for a chance of that free drink.

Eighteen people out. Catherine McC, Tracey, Hayley, Trevor, Ralph, John G, Johnny G, Margaret G, Molly-Anne, Pat G, Adrian G, Dermot, Marty C, Dylan, Dessie, Niall McK, Sam and self. Set out for Ardglass via Ballyduggan, Marshallstown and Bright on a beautiful sunny day. B,s are rapidly improving and little difference between B,s and Q,s so everyone opted to do the full route. Originally had planned a very obscure route but recent rain has brought a lot of mud , so simplified things a little. However, I am pleased to say there was still more than sufficient mud for everyone to have a good share. Bike washing bills to be sent to Robin please, not myself. Back via lots of Ballys, there being some debate as to how many. Molly-Anne was counting but for the record it was Ballyhornan, Ballyorgan, Ballinarry, Ballyculter, Ballyrenan, Ballytrustan, Ballymurry, Ballycruttle, Church Ballee, Ballygallum, Marshallstown, Corbally, Ballykilbeg, Ballyrolly and back to base . With great visibility the views over Down were truly stunning and well done to all concerned especially the newcomers. 40 miles, 2720 feet of climb at 13.2 mph with a brisk wind in our face coming home. connect.garmin.com/activity/399296518
