Forecast for weekend looks ok at present. Have got those scones from last week at Hillyard to eat up !! So Robin is planning to take B,s on last weeks proposed route. Blurb from last week copied here. We are planning for B,s to go out West this week. Clonvaraghan. Leitrim, Rowans Hill (just short of Ballyroney), Lough Island Reavy Reservoir and back to Hillyard for coffee. Along quiet roads but hopefully keeping away from tight muddy roads. Great views across to Mournes and reservoir. Bit undulating going to Leitrim but overall about 34 miles and around 2500 feet climbing so not too difficult. Plan to be at Hillyard around 11.30 to11.45 ( 24 miles) so maybe those wanting to go faster and further might want to meet us there. Anyway let me know at Brennans if you plan to go there and I can ring and order the correct number of scones. connect.garmin.com/course/5158599 Read more: llrcc.freeforums.net/index.cgi?board=sundayrun&action=display&thread=176#ixzz2lGYW8fok

Robin has some brand new people tomorrow so we are amending the course to make things a bit easier for B,s and Leitrim road was looking a bit slippery on some of the tight bends this week. See his route above which is a total of 28 miles B to B and fairly flat. Suggesting that those wanting a little more more strenuous route do this one. We will all cycle together via Seaforde and Maghera but then split and carry on past Bryansford and up past the Tullyree Hill Road to Kilcoo. Loop up along side roads to Lackan road and back past the Lough Island Reservoir and meeting up with B,s at Hillyard for coffee. About 38 miles B to B with a bit of work around Bryansford but not too bad connect.garmin.com/course/5202017

Around 20 people out , never did get to count them properly. Maybe Tracey counted, she usually does, and Robin can include in his B report. A clear day with little wind , so good cycling weather. Out via Seaforde, then crossing over main road and down to the Dundrum Inner Bay and Maghera where two groups split. A/Q comprising Michael O'S, Marty c, Marty M, Sammy, Niall McK, Gerry, Jimmy WB, Paul, John O'C, Trevor, Adrian and self (hope no one left out this week) went up hill to Bryansford . Paul had a puncture there. Just after it was repaired, Jimmy 2B discovered he had one as well ! Everyone was grumbling about this, but as he finished his repair , I suddenly discovered I had one as well. After much delays, by which time B,s had gone past us, we continued and went up Tullyree Hill to Kilcoo. Was going to go across lanes in a loop past far side of reservoir, but with time passing we went straight back along main road to Hillyard. Sung happy birthday to one of the group ( again will leave that to Robin) and then homeward bound. Only 32 miles on clock but still about 2500 feet of climb and a good dry day out.
