Well where do I start, the B group is going from strength to strength 17 out today in total ! Brian and Monica Bailie,Pat Davey,Marty Cardwell,Dermot Rooney,Catherine McCoubrey,Tracey, Robin and Molly-Anne Priestly,Joe Hanvey,John and Margaret Graham, Bill Lennon,Briege and Pat Gibney Mairead Sweeney and myself, if I missed anyone out or spelt your name incorrectly apologies. We all head for Daft Eddies in Skettrick via Crossgar where Pat, Briege and Mairead decided to go their own way leaving the rest to head on through Derryboye, heading cross country where some of the roads were quite muddy and slippery to say the least with compulsory hills thrown in for good measure as demanded by Wing Commander Max (missing in action today) a special mention goes to Monica who battled the hills really well considering she was riding a hi-brid bike which was very heavy. On arrival at Daft Eddies it was the usual scrabble for tea and scones with the A group looking pleased with themselves as they had arrived before us, once fed and watered we gained a few extra bodies, Haley,Johnny and Ralph, it was a similar run back heading through Lisbane and Crossgar losing Ralph who headed home from Crossgar, on arriving back at Brennans we had 36.4 miles on the clock. Its very evident that all the recent cycling starts are improving dramatically and it very pleasing to see so many ladies showing a keen interest which can only be a good thing.

The other Sunday group headed out via Annacloy, Brian, Bigfoot, Niall McK, Marty, John Mills,Michael O'S, Colum Turley, Wee Bunns, Hayley , Johnny and myself. John and Colum headed for home at Annacloy siteing tiredness and a previous event to attend. We also picked up Ralph running late, so a diminished group headed off round Quoile and up the Killyleagh road to Balloo, and down through ardmillan to Daft Eddies, for a scone and coffee. NDCC and Dave Kane had beaten us to it, but we squeezed in and 5 mins later the B group came in, to clear any remnants of food left. on way back Hayley, ralph and Johnny forsook us and went with the others leaving a further diminished group to head on round to ringahaddy, where I left and went down the road home, 50 miles on clock, and a great mornings cycling. Welcome to December, at about 10C.
