Peter, Bigfoot and I met at my house for a spin around Loughmoney, and crew road then back up through Ballyalton and over to ballydugan and Seaforde then up to Brennans just in time to meet up with everyone else heading out to Annacloy. About 25 or so out, with a couple of groups forming. The slightly faster group headed quickly but steadily out to Strangford and then Ardglass for a scone and coffee.
A few minutes later the second group came into the café and took every seat up in the whole place.
Restarting and heading on to Killough the old legs objected to the first hills, screaming at me, and it took until the other side of the hills before I could get going and join the others.
We then met Denis and Angela out for a drive, we all had to get speaking to him, and he was in great form, unfortunately Bigfoot and I kept on talking and got left behind, we pushed it, but could not catch the group to we met Colum, Peter and Dylan and headed up Scollogs hill. Peter and Colum circumvented the steepest bit, but tDylan, Bigfoot and I struggled up the hill. Bigfoot headed left and Dylan and I raced back to Ballynoe to see if we could catch the other pair, but before we could, Dylan headed off at Bishops Brae, and I finally found the pair nearing the end of the flying horse road. Then we set for Ballyalton and back home, 62 miles on legs for me - Busted.
Bigfoot must have in excess of 70miles, a big run for January.
Dylan continues to improve and showed no real issues keeping up with the distance and pace, and climbed scollogs hill with great determination and speed. Impressive stuff.
Someone should fill in about the other group
