Good turnout of 10 today for Wednesday run. Tracey, Hayley, Catherine, Gerry, Ollie, Paul, Pat, Joe, Brian and Self. Girls looking fit and well but a motley crew of males with various injuries and ailments. The only young and fit athlete there was Joe. Set off to Killyleagh via Derryboye at a steady pace, Pat having puncture on the way, and arrived at cafe for the usual cheapest breakfast in Northern Ireland. Over food , Paul Ireland told us he had a gold medal for having a fast ascent up the Black mountain in Carlingford. An unkind suggestion was made that he was mixed up with his Junior School cycling proficiency badge. He insisted he had done it with two other club members, but could not remember who. He would be grateful if someone could kindly corroborate his story. We believe you Paul, honestly. Back via Quoile to Bucks Head or straight home. A fine dry day and plenty of banter. 35 miles for me, tough enough as not out since Peter Bohill stew day. Away in Brum again this weekend , but do not think I will miss much as weather looks awful for Sunday.
