Well it's distinctly brass monkey weather but Sunday is currently looking not too bad. Suggesting Daft Eddies. Out to Annacloy, Scaddy, Derryboye, Holly Park, Balloo, Ardmillan D/E. Back along coast along Quarterland and down to Shrigley, Ballytrim House and back. About 38 miles but avoids the worst hills around Killinchy so not too gruelling. Will need to keep group moving steadily together as its very cold for hanging around too long and would be best coming home with split faster and slower groups. Will keep eye open for Met reports for any frost or snow and in which case will need to stick to main roads or nothing at all. connect.garmin.com/course/5703823

Forecast still looking good for tomorrow with sunshine and lower wind speed. However temperature is down to 0 degrees at 8 am but rises fairly quickly after that. That means there could be some frost patches around so I am suggesting a 10 am start from Brennans. The extra half hour should help to give time to thaw more. Have told Pat Darvey and he is ringing around non forum users but pass message around to anyone else who may need informing. Temperature profiles are higher around the Lough so we are due to go in best direction.

15 out at Brennans for a delayed 10 am start. Still rather frosty so decided to keep away from side roads and do coastal via Ballykinler, Ardglass, Strangford. A beautiful clear sunny day with glorious views over to the snow capped Mournes. With a light wind on our backs , it was as good a coastal as I have done and you could have travelled a long way in the world to see a better view. Brian and I were pleased to be warmed by a flow of hot air coming from behind us from the clubs two top bullsh***ers, Paul and Shane, who kept up a running commentary of craic and nonsense. Very quick progress between Ardglass and Strangford with Niall C and Michael O'S pounding out at the front. Started to split into groups from Downpatrick onwards. A great day out. 41 miles 16 mph 1100 feet climbed

Just to add, it was very funny craic and nonsense.
