Dublin Wheelers GP 02/03/13 Myself, Robin, Tracey & Hayley made the trip to County Meath on Saturday for the Dublin GP. Hayley went off with one other woman joining the large field of A3 riders. Unfortunately a problem with her gears lead to her joining up with the A4 race. I decided to give attacking a try in this race and from the start went to the front and along with Robin, we worked with guys from Waterford c.c and Bray but as the course was mostly flat we knew a break wasn't going to last long. Robin was in the top 6 coming into the uphill finish and looked good for taking some points unfortunately a crash in front of him meant he had to slow down. I was lucky to avoid the spills and sprinted to the line taking a top ten finish. Very pleased with the result and how we worked today in our 3rd race. Thanks very much everyone. Only other time I have felt as cold on a bike was when Stephen & Niall introduced me to mtb'ing in Tollymore with 3ft of snow. Hands just about warmed up now.
