Weather forecast looks good for Sunday apart from a possibility of early frost which we need to keep an eye on. So normal time seems ok at present and perhaps the Daft Eddies Run which we could not do last week. Maybe all out together and split up into slower and quicker on way home

A grey day but in spite of forecast around 24 keen and fit athletes turned up for some exercise. Out to Daft Eddies via Derryboye and Ardmillan splitting into two groups but arriving at coffee at about the same time, as faster group had a couple of mechanicals. Back along the Loughside via Quarterland Road. The more leisurely group still maintaining a good pace particularly as Molly Anne felt her Dad had been slacking a bit on way out and had to have a few sharp words to get him to go quicker. Rain did not start till around 12 o'clock at Shrigley, so getting a bit soggy towards the end but an enjoyable day out and as John Flynn says " it's only rain". Also many congratulations to Denis, who I hear has joined the Club's Grandfather club.

The first group of about ten, managed to get within 3 miles of the quoile before the rain started. It was the best I have seen a group of ours working together, we covered the ground averaging about 20 mph for the run from Shrigley to Quoile, no one dropped off, and everyone worked well.
Thanks to the lot of you, really made for an enjoyable cycle.
