Some away this week at Wicklow and perhaps a gentler ride this week. Drumaness, Carsonstown rd, 3 miles of new lanes and then Castle Espie for coffee. Back via Florida Manor, Raffery. Rademan, The Heights for those who are up for it and home. Quicker boys can do their own thing from Espie and maybe Lisbane, Killinchy Killyleagh etc. Will try and go at steady pace and keep everyone together until Espie. Approx 39 miles Brennans to Brennans 2500 to 3000 feet ascent Blue/Red connect.garmin.com/course/6826781 Weather a bit uncertain at present.

Unfortunately a lot of rain today and overnight so roads tomorrow will be wet and muddy and its windy. At best there might be a dry spell tomorrow between 9 and 12.30 according to current forecast. Am thinking we might do a simpler and shorter run either to Daft Eddies or Ardglass and back home quickly. Sadly looks like Wicklow Team will also need the wind and waterproofs though probably better than up here.

With Wicklow and a dodgy forecast there were still about 15 out. Two new boys out, Kieran and Marty the Third. Split into two groups with my group going out via Raffery and others Crossgar. All met up at Daft Eddies apart from Dermot who unfortunately thought we were still going to Castle Espie ! Back home via the coast and then split again. My intrepid group when back via Shrigley and The Heights and no rain. Well done to the two new boys who performed very creditably and also new girl Anne who on only her second run is already an A Teamer. On my garmin 35 miles 3000 feet ascent and 14.6 mph. Hope Wicklow team had a good day
