Cycled beautiful new route today with Tracey, Hayley, Catherine and Olly out on Bannanstown Road and Foffanney. Very flat, well ok I will shrug my shoulders and admit a stinger or two. Shane, along with a number of others including Olly (Fishing) cannot do this week and I promised I would save route for another day as Shane likes the flat ones. So with Fathers day as well, I propose Castle Espie via Carsonstown with some different lanes included. 40 miles 3000 feet ascent. Mainly Blue but ups and downs, so suitable for all. See how we go and split into two groups as appropriate connect.garmin.com/course/6826781

Around 26 out on a beautiful sunny day. Split into a quicker group lead out by Steve and slower group with me. Slow group went out via Rademan Carsonstown road and then along the lanes to Castle Espie with great views out over Lough and a song or two with Molly Ann. Faster group looped out doing a few more miles and we both arrived within 5 minutes of each other at Castle Espie. Coffee sitting out in sun and then going back together via Florida manor and Raffrey with people splitting off on different routes along the way. Well done to newcomer Paul the Second and recent starter Marty the Third, both cycling very well especially as they are more used to bikes with 1000cc + engines attached to them. Pleased to say Tracey also now knows where The Heights are ! Probably will not post suggested route till next Friday as I am away in England during the week.
