Forecast is quite good for Sunday. Cloudy but dry and moderate wind, sadly diabolical for Waterford Sean Kelly. Suggesting out towards Spa but turning up to Guiness and on past airstrip to seeconnell across to Deehommed. A few hills on way but nothing too desperate. Then can split with those wanting an easier ride going down main road through moneyslane , down to Ballyroney and turning down Lackan rd to Hillyard. I will go with those wanting a harder run to do the infamous BoHill ridden by Peter in one high gear last time, again going back to Lackan Rd but by the lanes. About 45 miles Brennans to Brennans and approx 3000+ ft for tougher route and 40 miles and 2500ft for shorter route connect.garmin.com/modern/course/7711652

About 24 out in total. Weather great for cycling sunny and clear without too much wind. Straight into a few hills and by time we reached the airfield decided to split and a group of 6 went off to do a so called slower and easier route which took them up Windy Gap.So well done to them. Rest went up more hills and after that we had a brief respite with more hills. Went up the BoHill presume Peter was in high gear again but cannot say as he was well ahead of me. Back to Hillyard with the Boy Racers tonking along the Castlewellan road. Bit of puffing along the way and at end at Hillyard because it was a tough old route, I did 42 miles with 3800 feet on clock. I am pleased to say that contrary to some suggestion,I am able to provide certificates to prove that my parents were married at the time of my conception and birth. Hope my weather forecast for Waterford was wrong and everything went well.
