Proper Irish autumn weather, wet (very), windy, mild and now the clock have gone back - pitch black at 730 pm.
So as per usual tonight (Tuesday) meet at Carlin Chapel carpark at 7:15 (7:00 for peter) for a 7:30 start.
Go on, go on go on, you know you want to, sure the fun, mud, manure and abuse will be flying, many of us will be unrecognizable at the end ( a good thing) but you'll have enjoyed yourself. pitch it against the alternative, sitting in a warm house, with a cup of tea watching some interminable bloody drivel about chelsea, baking, cooking, football or reality crap with the slow decay of your mental faculties. much better you go out in the dark and rain, fling yourself around trails, avoiding trees, till you legs hurt, covering yourself and others in cow crap and scaring the living daylights out of the wildlife (badgers specifically Shane), sure the water bottles always taste better covered in crap.
Actually the rain will have subsided by 7, and it should be cool and dry.
But as the great irish philosopher Mrs Doyle would say go on, go on, go on, ahh ya will, go on , go on , go on.
