Firstly wanted to thank all for a well attended AGM which encouraged some very healthy constructive debate.
One of the issues which arose on the evening and was well discussed, was with concern to the formation of groups in an attempt to improve our organistion in advance of our Sunday runs. Some made the valid point that being named as a leader of a group, could land that individual with litigation problems in the event of a claim.
I have contacted Marian Lamb re this issue and she is currently consulting directly with CI for advice on the matter. When I know more I will confirm their response and we can judge the sensible way forward on that basis.
DATE FOR YOUR DIARY: SUNDAY 14TH SHIMNA VALLEY HOUSE AND THEN TO CHEF BOHILLS FOR HOT STEW!
We will ride to Shimna first, present our cheque and then across to Peters for some of that famous stew.
After some discussion, Peter thought there might be an opportunity to raise some funds for a different local Charity, which he will choose in the near future.
The club will see what funds the stew run can raise and supplement the final amount raised for this charity.
So come on ye all a great opportunity for a great day out, some hot Grub at the 4* Bohill Cafe and chance to give some dosh to very deserving cause.
