For your entertainment and pleasure, you are offered a possible option with a joint venture proposal from Marty , Sammy and Max. Route goes New line Road, Spa, Ballykline Road. Then an option to do Cornmill or bypass depending on how you feel. Then on up to Dromore. About 20 miles done at this stage. Then choice is either off with Marty and Sammy who have test cycled the route to Lurgan on the B2 and then to Banbridge on the A26 and then to Castlewellan on the A50 for coffee break at the Hillyard. The route is on good fast flat roads with views and should be pretty quiet on a Sunday morning. Distance Brennans to Castlewellan 53 miles. Alternative is with me. This will be on quiet country roads with a number of hills but good rural views going via Ballela, Corbally and eventually along Loughisland Reavy Reservoir like last week. Route tested by Marty, Michael O'S and myself. Coffee at Hillyard and distance Brennans to Hillyard 41 miles. Routes suitable for a dry day. I enclose the routes. connect.garmin.com/course/3008039connect.garmin.com/course/3002582Will put this on facebook site as their can be difficulty opening these links at times

Unfortunately due to unforeseen family commitments, I will not be out this Sunday. Marty and Sammy will still be there to do their route as shown but I will offer my route on another date. Weather is looking dry at present for Sunday, so have a good day

13 out today on our club run the following set of for Whiterock,Joe,Rodger,John,Michael o S,Brian,Trevor,Dylan,Sammy,Sam,Marty,Paul,Dermot and myself. It was very cold and windy .John had to go home from Annacloy as his bike was giving mechnical trouble ,the rest headed on straight into the teeth of a gale ,Marty had first of all good luck and then bad luck,he found £20 on the road which he donated to the club funds ,which was very good of him ,Dermot claimed he saw it first but anyway it went to a good cause.Marty then has a bit of a spill at Raffery when he went straight over the handlebars after touching someones back wheel,he was a bit shook up with sore ribs and chest ,probably will be black and blue tomorrow,a good massage when he gets home should sort him out anyway hope he is ok .We headed on to Ballygowan,Balloo and Daft Eddies where we all enjoyed tea, coffee and scones,by this time Joe never stopped as he was in a hurry home and he headed on for home ,hope he made it ok, as he is known to get lost sometimes. The rest of us went on round by Ringduffin and on to Killyleagh where Sam headed of for home,Dylan went to a friends and Rodger went of on his own,the rest on to the Quoile where I headed off for home through Downpatrick and the rest back to base 50 odd miles on clock when home and a bit tired as the wind only helped us from Killyleagh ,was in our faces most of the day.Well done to Damian who finished 4th yesterday only a matter of time before he starts winning. The winner of that race by the way was Paul Irelands nephew so he informed us today, all members rembember Quiz next Friday night in Harbour Inn ,hope to see you all there as club needs your support, and it should be a good social event as well.
