Just letting all you Mtbrs know I intend to skip the road cycle this Sunday and head over to check out the new trails in Castlewellan.
Prob set off bout 9.30ish give or take.

I am meeting Niall, Shane, Peter, Michael O'Sullivan & Steve in the Morning for some MTB madness in Castlewellan Forest park. Meeting outside entrance at Hillard House.
Weather outlook does not look good for road bikes

Sunday 10th March. Snow on mountatins, and a bit overcast - but mainly freezing.
coby,adrian, shane, colum, barney, peter, bigfoor, robin, mark and I headed for the new castlewellan trails, after climbing on some forestry tracks/rivers we found the new trails and so started a 2 hour sojourn into a new spectrum of yells whoops and expletives and the drops, berms and rocks made castleward seem positively tame.
few offs, only Robin really managing to register on the reichter scale.
I really must applaud the trail builders - absolutely fantastic - and tahnks also to Brian Steele for a guided tour of the tracks.
will not be the last visit to these trails - and I reckon chain reaction etal will be more than happy - as it will not be long before more busted bike parts are in need to replacement.
Tuesday we can have a more relaxed MTB evening run.
