Hello La Lanterne Rouge Cycling Club,
We are gearing up for the 10th annual Cycle for Sight presented by Creemore Springs Brewery taking place in beautiful Creemore, ON, on Saturday, June 23rd, and we want you to be a part of it all! Known as The Perfect One Day Ride, Cycle for Sight is the fastest growing fundraiser in support of the Foundation Fighting Blindness (FFB) and includes 50 km, 100 km and 150 km distances.
We’d very much appreciate if you could help in these two ways!
1. Register a team at cycleforsight.ca
Join us at the finish line party at Creemore Springs Brewery by registering to ride. Register today, and you’ll also receive an invite to join us at the launch party at Batch (75 Victoria Street, Toronto) on Thursday, April 5th. And if you are interested in experiencing a tandem team ride, just let us know!
New this year is our corporate fundraising team package! Each business or cycling club that registers a team and sets a minimum fundraising goal of $2500 will be recognized as a Cycle for Sight Fundraising Supporter. If you are interested, please get back to me and I would be happy to provide you with the corporate fundraising team package for more information.
2. Help us get the word out about Cycle for Sight
Help us promote this fun and worthwhile experience by sharing our event info with your community, via e-news and social, and we’d very much appreciate if you could also follow us on Facebook and share our news: @cycleforsight.ca.
About the Foundation Fighting Blindness (ffb.ca)
More than 1 million Canadians are living with blinding retinal eye diseases. Some were born blind, while others experienced vision loss as teenagers or during adulthood. Many have been forced to sacrifice their independence; leaving life-long careers or forfeiting their driver’s license. More still have been losing sight of their loved ones, as blind spots overtake the clarity of their children’s faces.
Cycle for Sight has raised close to $4 million and the Foundation has contributed $32 million to research seeking to understand, preserve and restore sight. That’s over 200 research grants that have led to over 600 new discoveries in exciting vision research. More progress can be made and you can help us do that!
Thank you for your support and don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any questions!
Sincerely,
Miss Jordan Cheung
