Not sure if many are going out this Sunday but have a suggested route here which keeps us away from the crowds and can be done fairly quickly to get back for family bbq's etc. Clonvaraghan , C larkill Wood, Macartans Road. Then down a new network of lanes towards and bypassing Rathfriland ( NOT uphill into the town itself). Along more new lanes to Castlewellan for coffee in Hillyard garden. 32 miles Brennans to Castlewellan and 41 miles return to Brennans or Downpatrick so with prompt start and steady pace should be back for 1 pm. Route all along quiet roads apart from Castlewellan and great views of Mournes A few undulations but nothing too bad connect.garmin.com/course/4135890Otherwise as Dennis said we could take the " traditional route" and do coastal !

Set off with 20+, never did a proper head count. Had 3 punctures in first 10 miles which delayed things a bit but then onward in glorious sunshine along the back roads towards Rathfriland. Back to Hillyard House with some going via main road and others along the lanes. Let this weather continue and Chris Froome keep cycling like he did today. For me 41 miles 14.8 mph 3200 feet climbed connect.garmin.com/activity/342378601
